Frequently Asked Questions

Team and Player Registrations

  • Where can I find information on all of the competitions, leagues and tournaments I can enter for my team?
Game information for all competitions, leagues and tournaments run at the TWHCNC is sent out at the beginning of each year. Leagues and tournament information is sent again a few weeks prior to each event beginning. Information can also be found on the website by navigating firstly to the correct age group of what you would like to enter, and following the links from there.

  • What competitions/grades require individual player registrations?
From 2018, ALL competitions run by TWHCNC will require individual player registrations for each team. For help with completing player registrations, please see our 'How-to' guide found under the Policies, Procedures & By-laws tab on our Homepage. We are also running a number of Player Registration Workshops for coaches who need extra assistance at the beginning of the season. These dates are found on the game information and on the Events Calendars.
  • If my team doesn’t have enough players one week, can I get another player to play for our team?
According to the TWHCNC By-Laws Section 1.4:

    (a) A player may play twice in a higher designated team within her own club and still remain in her own team. The third time she plays in a higher designated team she is graded up into that team and cannot re-join her original team unless she is regraded. This includes teams from the same club in the same grade/section. In the event of 2 teams being in the same section one team will be determined to be higher by the points gained in the previous competition round.
    (b) A player may not at any time play in a lower grade than that for which the team she is registered is graded. The penalty for doing so is that the team played in will forfeit the game and two competition points will be deducted.
  • How much does it cost to enter a team into a competition at your centre?
Fees for each competition, league and tournament are updated each year and are found on game information sheets. They can also be found on the website by clicking on Fees & Charges on the home page. This tab also has information on various payment methods.
  • Can my team set up a payment plan if we cannot pay the full amount at the beginning of the season?
Yes, we do allow teams to set up a payment plan to pay off their team registration fees. An application must be made by emailing admin@netballhamilton.org.nz.
  • Can we enter a team if we are not associated to a club?
Certainly! The team registration fee is the only fee that needs to be paid to the centre. Any new team needs approval for their uniform. This can be done by emailing a photo of the uniform (or proposed uniform) to events@netballhamilton.org.nz.
